Edward Dicey
Edward Dicey, engelsk publicist (1832-1911), blev 1861 knyttet til Daily Telegraph, hvor han skrev de ledende artikler om udenlandske forhold, og var 1870 en kort tid redaktør af Daily News, men derefter indtil 1889 af bladet Observer. Særskilt udkomne er Cavour (1861), The Schleswig-Holstein war (1864), The battlefields of 1866 (1866) og The morning land (en Rejse i Tyrkiet, Palæstina og Ægypten) (1870). Senere var han medarbejder af flere tidsskrifter og skrev særlig om Englands magtstilling i Ægypten, som han med stor kraft hævdede i England and Egypt (1884), The story of the Khedivat (1902) og Egypt of the future (1907); desuden Bulgaria, the peasant state (1895).
